Dr. Dalton Vander Sanden, ND
Dr. Dalton is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor in the province of Ontario. He graduated with honours from Brock University with a Bachelor of Medicine Science, following which he completed Canada’s only Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto.
Dr. Dalton’s passion for holistic health care started when he was only 12 years of age and experienced his first naturopathic medical appointment. It was these experiences at a young age where he learned about the interconnection between mind and body and it’s implications for healing, and affirmed that Naturopathic Medicine was the profession for which he would dedicate his life studies to. These experiences would also shape the extracurriculars he would engage in – including working for and precepting with some of the best-known names in traditional medicine, including Dr. Katherine Willow, ND, and the late John Redden, RH. Dr. Dalton has a well-rounded ‘family medicine’ practice but has developed a special focus in Women’s health to honour the strong presence of matriarchal leadership in his own life. As a self-proclaimed life-long learner, Dr. Dalton is currently continuing his education in Women’s health topics through the completion of the ‘Certified Women’s Health Practitioner’ designation for advanced study in the latest research informed approaches to the most common conditions affecting women. These include, but are not limited to: endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, infertility, post-partum, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), vulvovaginal pain disorders, peri and post menopause, thyroid disorders, gut issues, acne and hair loss. Dr. Dalton has identified that the naturopathic medical profession lacks a common underlying platform for medical assessment, leaving many patients with undiagnosed areas for health improvement and optimization. It is his belief that a complete picture of health can be achieved through ensuring optimal nutrition, stress management, immune system assessment, gut, mitochondrial and hormonal assessment are part of every patient’s plan." |
